Rodin's Gates of Hell

We saw the Gates of Hell by Rodin at Stanford! 1 word: masterpiece. At first, it reminded me of Ghiberti's bronze doors coming alive, three-dimensionalized, and breaking out of their rectilinear confines. I'll have to mull a bit about what my final impression is. Adam and Eve flank the doors, which I can't wait to visit in the day time. I was sad in Paris not to swing by the Musee d'Orsay or Musee Rodin, but this totally makes up for it!

I have to thank R so much for a sensational experience of viewing lighted Rodin bronzes at night.

Recalibration Needed

Tears fall from my eyes. Why, I think I know, but cannot be sure. So then, I ask the heavens above, huh? Why?

Sometimes, don't you wish you could recalibrate yourself? I want an adjustment from all this fragility, emotion and attachment to human things.
